About the Role

We are seeking a Developer Community and Talent Lead to play a pivotal role in how Tribe builds and scales its network of world-class AI engineers and product builders. This role sits at the center of our model: connecting the right people to the right projects while designing the systems and tools that make this process repeatable and scalable.

As both advocate and builder, you will develop a deep understanding of our members — their skills, aspirations, and availability — and ensure they are staffed on work where they thrive. You will bring judgment not only to technical depth, but also to how members show up with customers, evaluating presence, communication, and gravitas. You will also design programs and events that keep our community engaged and inspired.

This is a hands-on, high-leverage role. Success means creating the conditions for great delivery: seamless staffing, stronger project outcomes, and client confidence in every Tribe team. Over time, you’ll codify what works into systems and frameworks that scale, while staying plugged into the fast-moving world of AI.

Key Responsibilities

Staffing & Matching

• Match members to projects by balancing skills, availability, and team chemistry.
• Create those “magic” staffing moments where teams click and deliver.
• Anticipate risks early to ensure matches succeed long-term.

Talent Vetting & Standards

• Develop clear rubrics to guide consistent evaluation.
• Assess members for both technical depth and client presence.
• Partner with delivery teams to maintain high standards.

Community Management

• Build authentic relationships and act as an advocate for member growth.
• Design programs and events that keep top talent excited, engaged, and connected.

Systems & Process Building

• Codify what works into repeatable processes and tools.
• Create systems that reduce churn, improve efficiency, and scale.

Stay Current & On-Trend

• Track emerging AI tools, frameworks, and best practices.
• Share insights with the community and bring fresh ideas into Tribe’s work.

About You

• 5+ years of relevant experience. 
• Strong emotional intelligence and a natural ability to build relationships.
• Enough technical depth to speak the language of AI engineers and curiosity to stay current with new tools.
• High agency, with a track record of founding, building, or owning initiatives.
• Organized and systems-oriented, able to distill complexity into clear, repeatable processes.
• Hands-on executor with a bias toward action and fast progress.
  Able to evaluate both technical capability and how individuals show up with clients.
