About Tribe AI
At Tribe, we help enterprises build and deploy production AI systems that deliver real business impact. We're an AI-native services company with deep partnerships with leading AI labs, giving us rare visibility into the most advanced models and enterprise deployment patterns in the world.
The companies that win in enterprise AI won't just be the ones that build the best products or deliver the best results — they'll be the ones that own the narrative. Most of the market is still figuring out what enterprise AI transformation actually looks like. We're already doing it. Your job is to make sure everyone knows it.
About the Role
As Tribe's Communications Lead, you own the machine that turns our CEO into the default expert voice on enterprise AI transformation. You're responsible for earned media, speaking opportunities, and Jackie's external content strategy — making sure that when enterprises think "who actually knows how to deploy production AI systems at scale," they think of her first.
This isn't traditional PR. You're not writing press releases or pitching funding announcements. You're building relationships with journalists who cover enterprise AI, identifying the narratives we should own, and creating a speaking pipeline that puts Jackie in front of the right audiences at the right time.
You treat external comms like a product. You track what's working, kill what isn't, and move fast. You have a POV on which media outlets matter, which conferences are worth the time, and what topics will position us ahead of the market — not just reactive to it.
You'll report to our CEO. You're the bridge between what we're building internally and how the world perceives us.
What You'll Own
Earned media & press. Build and maintain relationships with journalists at top-tier business outlets (WSJ, Bloomberg, Forbes) and AI trade press (VentureBeat, TechCrunch, The Information). Pitch stories that position Jackie as the expert on enterprise AI adoption, agentic systems, and what's actually working in production. Get her quoted, featured, and profiled.
Speaking pipeline. Own the full funnel — identify the right conferences and events, submit proposals, prep Jackie for talks, manage logistics. Build a calendar that balances high-visibility keynotes with intimate executive roundtables. Make sure she's speaking at the venues where enterprise AI decision-makers are paying attention.
Jackie's external content strategy. Take over her LinkedIn presence entirely. Own the editorial calendar, draft posts (in her voice), identify what topics to anchor on each quarter. Connect market moments (new OpenAI/Anthropic product launches, AI policy shifts, enterprise trends, market sentiment) to Tribe's positioning. Make sure her content drives awareness *and* engagement.
Narrative development. Work with leadership to define "what's our POV this quarter?" Connect what we're seeing in delivery (customer patterns, technical challenges, adoption blockers) to broader market narratives. Position Tribe ahead of the curve, not chasing what everyone else is talking about.
Media training & exec positioning. Prep Jackie for interviews, panels, and podcasts. Help her sharpen her talking points, refine her stories, and show up as the practitioner who's actually shipping production AI.
PR measurement & iteration. Track what's landing. Which stories get picked up? Which speaking gigs lead to inbound pipeline? Which content formats drive the most awareness? Double down on what works, kill what doesn't.
About You
PR/comms experience with a product mindset. You've worked in PR or external comms, but you don't treat it like a traditional agency playbook. You measure impact, run experiments, and iterate fast. You know the difference between press releases no one reads and stories journalists actually want to cover.
Relationships with journalists and editors. You have a network. You can get Jackie on a call with a Forbes contributor or a TechCrunch reporter without cold pitching. You know who covers enterprise AI, who's credible, and who's worth the time.
Strong writer and storyteller. You can draft a pitch email that gets opened, write a LinkedIn post that sounds like Jackie (not like AI), and turn a 60-minute conversation into three tight talking points. You understand narrative arcs, not just bullet points.
Deep understanding of enterprise AI or B2B tech. You've worked in the AI/ML space or adjacent B2B tech long enough to understand what Tribe does and why it matters. You don't need someone to translate "agentic systems" or "SDLC transformation" for you.
High agency and fast execution. You don't wait for approval to pitch a story or submit a speaking proposal. You see an opportunity, you move. You treat every media hit and speaking slot like it has a deadline.
Comfortable with ambiguity. You're building this function from scratch. There's no playbook, no team (yet), no existing journalist relationships to inherit. You're starting from zero and that excites you, not scares you.
Nice to Have
- Experience at a top-tier PR agency (Edelman, Weber Shandwick) working on B2B tech or consulting accounts
- Previous Head of Comms role at a high-growth B2B startup or services firm
- Track record building executive thought leadership programs from scratch
- Connections in the AI/enterprise tech media ecosystem (journalists, podcasters, conference organizers)
- Experience managing external comms for a CEO who's also a technical practitioner
