Company Description
Tribe AI is a modern AI-native consultancy powered by engineers, scientists, and researchers from companies like Google, Amazon, Meta, and OpenAI. Our mission is to help enterprises rearchitect their business with AI—turning cutting-edge model capability into production systems that create real value. We partner with organizations to solve their hardest problems by building custom AI solutions with the best talent in the business.
About the Role
As an AI Solutions Architect at Tribe AI, you'll design and build production-grade AI systems for F500 clients—real data, real constraints, real production traffic. You'll own the full technical arc: from discovery and architecture through rapid prototypes and delivery handoff, working directly with General Managers (Enterprise AEs) to define high-impact use cases and make them real.
This is not a "demo-only" role. You'll lead technical discovery, make architectural tradeoffs, and build clarity in ambiguous environments—often pressure-testing ideas through rapid prototypes. You'll also collaborate directly with frontier model labs like OpenAI and Anthropic (working sessions with their Applied AI / solutions teams) to unblock constraints, validate approaches, and stay close to emerging capabilities. This is a highly technical, hands-on role — expected to design and prototype production-grade AI systems (Python, APIs, cloud, real data).
Key responsibilities:
• Lead technical discovery with customers to understand workflows, constraints, data realities, and success criteria—and translate that into a clear technical plan.
• Architect end-to-end AI systems (GenAI + traditional ML when needed), spanning data ingestion, retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, deployment, and UX.
• Design and deliver rapid prototypes that make abstract ideas concrete and de-risk key decisions (cost/latency/reliability, integration feasibility, quality thresholds).
• Develop reference architectures and technical frameworks that demonstrate what’s possible with current and emerging AI technologies.
• Guide clients through the AI landscape—capabilities, limitations, tradeoffs, and what it takes to operate AI systems in production over time.
• Partner with sales teams to translate technical concepts into clear value propositions, proposals, business cases, and technical presentations.
• Define technical requirements and scalable architecture patterns for production-grade systems (security, governance, observability, evaluation, and reliability).
• Collaborate with fulfillment to ensure solutions align with customer needs and leverage Tribe AI’s capabilities—and help create smooth handoffs from pre-sales to delivery.
• Stay current on frontier developments, bringing in SMEs from the Tribe network and collaborating with partners (including OpenAI/Anthropic) to keep customers ahead of the curve.
• Act as a trusted advisor to technical and executive stakeholders navigating AI implementation and adoption challenges.
About You
• 5+ years leading technical workstreams; experience as a Solutions Architect, or a similar customer-facing technical role in the AI, cloud, data platform, or backend infrastructure space.
• Strong customer-facing instincts: you can run discovery, ask the right questions, and turn ambiguity into clear architecture and next steps.
• Experience scoping projects and estimating effort to build end-to-end applications (including assumptions, risks, milestones, and dependencies).
• Strong fluency in Generative AI and the evolving LLM ecosystem and you’ve built or consulted on AI/GenAI systems in production.
• Expertise with production cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) and modern deployment patterns.
• Systems thinker who can balance speed and rigor: comfortable making tradeoffs and explaining them clearly to both engineers and execs.
• Can write a credible technical proposal and a system design doc in the same week.
• Personally built and shipped GenAI/LLM systems to production (not just POCs/demos).
• Comfortable coding prototypes (Python and/or TypeScript) to validate key architectural decisions.
Why Join Us
• Direct access to frontier labs: work alongside OpenAI and Anthropic's Applied AI teams on real client problems—not as a downstream integrator, but as a peer working through hard technical constraints together.
• Production scope, not sandbox: clients are F500 companies with real data volumes, real security requirements, and real consequences—systems that need to run reliably, not just demo well.
• End-to-end ownership: shape what gets built and how—from first conversation through architecture, prototypes, and production handoff.
• Problems without playbooks: diverse engagements across industries where you're designing the approach, not following one.
• High-talent, low-bureaucracy: a team that cares about quality and execution, with the trust and autonomy to do your best work.
• Shape how enterprise AI gets built: real influence on architecture patterns, tooling choices, and how Tribe approaches the next generation of AI systems.
