Tribe AI’s team is growing, and we’re looking to develop the talent and hiring strategies needed to continue our exponential growth. We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative self-starter with a ton of energy and heart to lead our People function. Talent is the key ingredient of our success, and we need to hire top talent at scale and codify a culture and people processes that foster innovation. This is where you come in – we are looking for a seasoned but innovative talent leader, with a focus on recruiting, to help Tribe AI scale and realize our vision for its next chapter.

We need someone who will not only help us build out the infrastructure needed to scale, but someone passionate about people and energized by building and cultivating creative and collaborative cultures. What will you do?

You will oversee the HR function for the entire organization, which includes talent acquisition, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, culture, DEI, people and role development, benefits administration, maintenance of legal compliance, and strategic organizational change.


At Tribe, you will:
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for talent at all levels, from job descriptions development and posting to determining appropriate salary levels, interviewing, selecting, and managing the offer process to bring the best talent into our company.
  • Establish culture initiatives/programming and model company value.
  • Continue to build out strategy and policy around Diversity Equity and Inclusion.
  • Provide HR support and guidance in organizational change initiatives including communications, terminations, promotions and new hires.
  • Provide forums for communication and conflict resolution as needed with sensitivity and expertise to promote employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Coach, counsel, and help to resolve all employee relations issues and work with leaders to find fair and thoughtful solutions to employee performance issues.
  • Partner with leadership to develop manager and team training focused on development, culture, and career progression.
  • Perform orientations, conduct employee onboarding, and help organize training & development initiatives.
  • Develop, manage and administer annual performance evaluation processes and compensation reviews.
  • Oversee the payroll process in conjunction with finance, ensuring timely and accurate records.
  • Handle all employment benefits and services - plan administration and renewal, unemployment, workers comp, COBRA/FMLA administration.
  • Manage all leave related (FMLA, STD, PFL) questions and claims.
  • Maintain responsibility for organizational compliance with federal, state and local laws,  manage legal issues - audits, personnel file maintenance, unemployment claims, etc.
  • Maintain and distribute all company-wide directives and HR related policies and procedures.
  • Continuously assess the need for new and improved systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Prepare, distribute, and analyze various reports on HR metrics.

What are you like?

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience working for a startup is strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity and be a resourceful, savvy professional that is committed to finding solutions and making an impact
  • Self-starter with the ability to lead and function independently
  • Ability to add value at all levels and functions of the organization
  • Experience with the full employee lifecycle
  • Great attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Creative thinker, team player, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative, responsive, and adaptive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
